One of the designers I looked was Alexander McQueen and his Spring/Summer 2010 collection called "Plato's Atlantis" here are some examples of this show...

The reason I looked at this collection is because of the colours and some of the prints. He was inspired by evolution and environment. I really like the striking prints in these designs . I really like the complementary colours and how they make the pop. These designs are quite metallic witch I can explore more into my project.  In this collection he used mainly cool colours and warm colours as an accent colour. In my designs I uses warmer shades of cool colours but as it was based on nature it is hard to tell as it is forever changing.

I also looked at the work of Piet Mondrian because of the simple shapes in his landscapes. I wanted my work not to be to obvious but still link back to my original sequence. Leafs!

I really like how the simplicity makes it become an abstract piece I also like how the colours he has used make the shadows and highlights stand out.
